The first week of the new year marked the implementation of New York's new prenatal leave law. Effective January 1, all private employers in New York are now required to provide employees with 20 hours of paid leave for prenatal care, including doctor visits, examinations, and fertility treatment appointments. This leave applies to both full-time and part-time employees, regardless of the employer's size.
